2025 Honda City Facelift Revealed in Leaked Images Everything You Need to Know Before the May 22 Launch
Sharper Design, More Presence: What’s New on the Outside?
The biggest talking point of the leaked images is undoubtedly the redesigned front fascia. Honda seems to have taken a more aggressive approach with the City’s styling this time around, moving away from the softer, elegant look of the outgoing version.
The updated LED headlamps now feature a sharper and more angular signature, instantly giving the sedan a stronger road presence. Sitting between those lamps is a completely redesigned grille featuring a fresh honeycomb mesh pattern. The bumper has also been reworked with redesigned air inlets and a revised lower air dam.
A subtle but interesting update comes in the form of badge placement. Completing the
refresh are newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels.
Interior Changes: A More Tech-Focused Cabin?
The current integrated infotainment setup could be replaced by a larger floating touchscreen design, likely somewhere in the 10-inch range. This would instantly modernise the dashboard and bring the City closer to segment rivals.
A floating infotainment unit could also mean a revised dashboard layout, cleaner centre console integration, and an overall more contemporary cabin design.
Expected Features: Finally Catching Up to Rivals?
Expected additions include a powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree
camera, and updated upholstery and trim materials.
Engine Options: Same Formula, Still Strong?
The trusted 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to continue unchanged, producing 121hp and 145Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual or CVT.
The e:HEVhybrid producing around 126hp with Honda’s dual-motor hybrid system and e-CVT is also expected to continue.
Expected Price and Positioning
The current Honda City range sits between approximately ₹12 lakh and ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom). Higher variants, especially the hybrid versions, could potentially stretch into the ₹21–22 lakh bracket.
