- Types of Continental tyre warranty
Warranty against Non-manufacturing defects - Limited by kilometres travelled or time period: Most tyre warranties cover a specific number of kilometres for which the tyre is used OR a time period starting from the date of purchase or manufacturing date of the tyre.
Continental tyres warranty against manufacturing defects: Tyres that are defective due to raw materials used or processes used in manufacturing that cause tyres to get deformed, bulge or crack – without the cause being any external impact or any other external factor. Such cases are covered by the Continental tyre warranty.
Two or 50% tread depth Conditional Pro-rata Continental tyre warranty: If a tyre develops issues impacting its performance before reaching 50% of its tread depth or 2 years from date of sale/manufacture, you may get a tyre replacement at a pro-rata amount payable by you as a price difference based on the tread depth remaining on the tyre subjected to claim under the Continental tyre warranty.
You must note that warranties usually don't cover damage caused due to punctures, cuts or impacts, incorrect maintenance like using under or over inflated tyres or misaligned tyres. Even overloading, racing, or off-road usage of tyres can impact the claim under Continental tyre warranty.

2. Regular Alignment and Balancing
Every 5,000–8,000 km, get your wheels aligned and tyres balanced to prevent uneven wear and reduce vibration. Poor alignment and imbalance cause uneven wear.
- Rotate Tyres on Schedule
Rotate your tyres every 5,000–8,000 km for even tread wear. Refer to your vehicle’s rotation guide.
- Understand Load Index & Speed Rating
- Load Index: Avoid carrying more weight than your tyre's rated capacity
- Speed Rating: Stick to the designated speed limit for optimal tyre performance and safety
- Inspect for Damage
Check your tyres regularly for:
- Sidewall cracks or bulges
- Sharp objects or embedded stones
- Tread depth (1.6 mm minimum)
- Smooth Driving
Avoid abrupt braking or hard cornering. Drive smoothly to enhance the life of your Continental tyres.
- Smart Parking
Avoid parking on oil spills, extremely hot pavement, or rugged surfaces for long periods.
