Types of Yokohama tyre warranty
Warranty against Non-manufacturing defects - Limited by kilometres travelled or time period: Most tyre warranties cover a specific number of kilometres for which the tyre is used OR a time period starting from the date of purchase or manufacturing date of the tyre.
Yokohama tyres warranty against manufacturing defects: Tyres that are defective due to raw materials used or processes used in manufacturing that cause tyres to get deformed, bulge or crack – without the cause being any external impact or any other external factor. Such cases are covered by the Yokohama tyre warranty.
Five or 50% tread depth Conditional Pro-rata Yokohama tyre warranty: If a tyre develops issues impacting its performance before reaching 50% of its tread depth or 5 years from date of sale/manufacture, you may get a tyre replacement at a pro-rata amount payable by you as a price difference based on the tread depth remaining on the tyre subjected to claim under the Yokohama tyre warranty.
You must note that warranties usually don't cover damage caused due to punctures, cuts or impacts, incorrect maintenance like using under or over inflated tyres or misaligned tyres. Even overloading, racing, or off-road usage of tyres can impact the claim under Yokohama tyre warranty.

Misaligned wheels can cause your tyres to wear unevenly. Similarly, unbalanced tyres lead to vibrations and premature tyre wear. Have alignment and balancing done every 5,000 to 8,000 km or if you notice any pulling or vibration.
- Rotate Tyres Regularly
Rotate your Yokohama tyres every 5,000–8,000 km to promote even wear and extend tyre life.
- Respect Load and Speed Ratings
- Never exceed your tyre’s load-carrying capacity.
- Stick to the designated speed limit for your tyre model.
- Conduct Regular Inspections
Check tyres for:
- Adequate tread depth (minimum 1.6 mm)
- Cracks, sidewall bulges, cuts, or foreign objects
- Drive Smoothly
Gentle acceleration, braking, and cornering enhance the durability of your tyres.
- Park Carefully
Avoid parking on hot, oily, or rocky surfaces for extended periods to prevent rubber degradation.
