Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to change Alloys?
Once our team reaches your location we need parking space for our van next to your vehicle , we have the equipment to change the alloy wheels in 90 to 120 minutes.
1. What are alloy wheels?

In your car or motorcycle the wheels are made of a mix of certain metals – the major component is steel since it provides enough strength to withstand the pressure from bumps, speed and extreme weather conditions. Alloy wheels are wheels made from a mixture of aluminium, magnesium and steel with other metals. This mix of metals is called an “alloy", and wheels made of this mix are called alloy wheels. Alloy wheels give a look that is much more aesthetically appealing and can be lighter than the wheels made primarily of steel.

2. Why should you buy alloy wheels, what are the advantages of fitting alloy wheels?
  • The look: Alloy wheels can change the car’s visual appeal very positively – they have a shine and gloss due to the aluminium and magnesium content. They are available in many colours and can be in very stylish designs- – which traditional steel wheels do not have. They enhance a vehicle's appearance with various stylish designs.
  • Lesser Weight: Alloy wheels weigh less than Steel wheels because aluminium in the alloy reduces the weight. This may give you slightly more fuel efficiency and faster acceleration because now the car engine has to pull less weight.
  • Corrosion Resistance: The best quality of good alloy wheels is that this mix of metals is prepared to be rust and corrosion resistant , relative to steel wheels – so your wheels keep looking new and shiny for a longer period of time.
3. How important is the value of PCD in relation to alloy wheels, what does it mean?
  • PCD or "Pitch Circle Diameter." Is the diameter of the circle formed by the holes where you screw on the wheel nuts. If the PCD of your car does not match the PCD of the alloy wheels, it will not be possible for the wheel nuts to be positioned and tightened. So be sure that the PCD value in millimetres matches.
4. Dos and Don’ts on how to care of alloy wheels?
  • Cleaning them with mild soap and water.
  • Avoid hard water, it may leave scaling and stains on the wheels.
  • Use a soft cloth to wipe them dry, to prevent droplet stains.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers.
  • Make sure you remove dust and mud that may have got stuck on the wheels.
5. Can I fit any alloy wheel to my car?
  • No, you should not. It's important to ensure that the alloy wheels have the correct PCD and number of wheel nut holes as your car.
6. Can I reuse my old tires when buying alloy wheels?

It depends on several factors:

  • Same Size Wheels:

    • If the new alloy wheels have the exact same diameter and width as your existing wheels (whether they were steel or alloy), then you can generally reuse your old tires.

  • Different Size Wheels:

    • If the new alloy wheels have a different diameter or width, you'll most likely need new tires. Tires are designed to fit specific wheel dimensions.

    • Specifically, if you increase the diameter of the wheel, then you will need new tyres.

  • Tire Condition:

    • Regardless of wheel size, consider the condition of your existing tires. If they're worn, damaged, or nearing their expiration date, it's a good time to replace them along with the wheels.

  • Fitment and Safety:

    • Always double-check the wheel manufacturer's specifications to ensure compatibility. Incorrect tire and wheel combinations can be dangerous.
